SDS Author (Chemical Industry)

The Role:

Work Location: Anywhere in Japan (Must have work authorisation for Japan with fluency in Japanese)

You will be responsible for :

• Collect and analyze product data (composition, physical and chemical properties, toxicological data, etc.).
• Classify chemicals according to regulatory frameworks (e.g., GHS – Globally Harmonized System).
• Draft and maintain SDS documents and product labels in compliance with local and international regulations.
• Ensure consistency across multiple jurisdictions (different countries may require SDSs in different formats and languages).
• Collaborate with regulatory, R&D, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), and product stewardship teams.
• Update SDSs whenever formulations change or regulations are updated.

Ideal Profile:

• Knowledge of chemical regulations (GHS, REACH, OSHA HazCom, WHMIS, etc.).
