Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SDS/2 Modeler to develop accurate 3 D models for structural steel projects in compliance with AISC standards. The candidate should be proficient in SDS/2 software and capable of coordinating with detailers, checkers, and project managers to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed 3 D structural steel models using SDS/2.
Interpret IFC structural and architectural drawings.
Ensure modeling compliance with AISC, AWS, and project specifications.
Identify and resolve modeling clashes and design inconsistencies.
Coordinate with detailers, checkers, and fabrication teams.
Incorporate checker comments and client markups efficiently.
Maintain project schedules and meet tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Diploma / B. E. in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
3–8 years of hands-on experience in SDS/2 modeling.
Strong knowledge of AISC steel standards and fabrication practices.
Experience in US structural steel projects.
Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
Good understanding of connections, BOMs, and CNC data.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with US fabricators or EPC clients.
Good communication and coordination skills.
