Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and manage a hybrid enterprise network infrastructure consisting of Versa/Meraki SD-WAN, Cisco Routers, Cisco Nexus Switches, and Meraki Switches.
The role involves providing overnight operational support, troubleshooting, and performing configuration and upgrade activities within the India shift.
The engineer will coordinate with the UK operations team for escalation, vendor coordination, and shift handover.
- SD-WAN SME: Act as the primary authority on SD-WAN, specifically driving Versa SD-WAN, Cisco SD-WAN (Versa), and Meraki MX platforms.
- LAN/WLAN Management: Design, configure, and optimize campus LAN and WLAN (Cisco Catalyst/Nexus/Meraki MR).
- Routing & Switching: Implement and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies (VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP).
- Security Integration: Integrate SD-WAN with security solutions (SASE, ZTNA, Firewall integration, VPN, IPsec).
- Operational Excellence: Perform root-cause analysis, proactive monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network diagrams HLD/LLD (High-Level/Low-Level Design) documents, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Mentorship: Provide L3 support for escalated incidents and mentor L2 engineers.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking.
- SD-WAN: Proven expertise in Versa SD-WAN and/or Cisco/Viptela SD-WAN.
- Meraki: Extensive experience with Meraki Dashboard administration, MX Security Appliances, MR Wireless, and MS Switches.
- Cisco: Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches and Cisco ISR/ASR routers.
- Routing/Networking: In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VRFs, and QOS.
- Troubleshooting: Expert-level packet analysis skills using Wireshark and diagnostic tools.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to interface with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: CCNA/CCNP (Enterprise), Versa Certified Administrator, Meraki CMNA/ECMS.
- Automation: Experience with automation tools.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 network support during India business hours (overnight shift for UK coverage).
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and restore network connectivity and services across Versa/Meraki SD-WAN, Cisco, and Meraki environments.
- Perform configuration changes, OS upgrades, and firmware updates on Cisco Routers, Nexus Switches, and Meraki Switches.
- Support Versa/Meraki SD-WAN deployments, including routing, tunnel management, and policy configurations.
- Escalate critical incidents and raise tickets with vendors (Cisco TAC, HPE/Versa/Meraki, Meraki support).
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and maintain detailed incident documentation.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure smooth shift handover and follow-the- operations.
- Ensure network configurations adhere to security and compliance standards.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of network topology, performance, and capacity metrics.
