Seafreight Operations Specialist-Remote

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Seafreight Operations Coordinator to manage end-to-end sea freight shipments for our global logistics network. Based in India and working remotely, this role is critical in ensuring seamless import and export operations, from initial booking to final delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle seafreight shipments, including import and export operations from booking to delivery
  
• Prepare, review, and verify essential documentation such as AWB, MAWB/HAWB, customs declarations, and other compliance-related forms
  
• Serve as a primary point of contact for airlines, freight agents, ground handlers, and clients to ensure smooth coordination
  
• Monitor shipment progress in real time and proactively identify and resolve operational challenges
  
• Ensure strict adherence to IATA, EU, and other international regulatory standards
  
• Collaborate effectively with the European team, aligning workflows and communication with CET time zones
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in seafreight forwarding or logistics operations
  
• In-depth knowledge of cargo handling procedures and customs clearance processes
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus
  
• Highly reliable, detail-focused, and driven to deliver solutions under pressure
  
• Experience with freight management systems such as Scope, Cargowise, or similar platforms is advantageous
  
• • Must have direct experience with German export and import seafreight shipments.
