Position Title: Second Press Operator
General Purpose
Responsible for performing manual and machine tasks related to the setup, maintenance, and operation of sheet-fed offset presses to accurately produce products that meet customer specifications.
Essential Job Functions
u2022 Operate various sheet-fed offset presses.
u2022 Read and interpret work orders to determine setup specifications and instructions.
u2022 Start machines and run trial sets to verify accuracy of machine setups.
u2022 Observe and monitor press operations to detect malfunctions and determine required adjustments.
u2022 Ensure image registration from unit to unit; run samples and make adjustments to maintain print quality and color settings in accordance with densitometer readings.
u2022 Follow all standard operating procedures applicable to the job, position, and department.
