Section Engineer- Angola - Expat
Manage technical documentation, interpret drawings, and oversee daily operations, including material take-offs and subcontractor management.
Proficiency in CAD/technical software.

Role: Section Engineer

A Section Engineer has final responsibility for a specific area of a large engineering or construction project, supervising site engineers and coordinating teams to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to safety/quality standards. Manage technical documentation, interpret drawings, and oversee daily operations, including material take-offs and subcontractor management.  

Key Requirements:


  • Site Management: Overseeing all technical aspects of a defined project section (e.g., earthworks, drainage, structures).

  • Supervision: Leading and mentoring site engineers and subcontractors to ensure adherence to RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).

  • Engineering Control: Ensuring accurate setting out and checking of works.

  • Health & Safety: Maintaining strict site safety compliance and conducting briefings.

  • Planning & Reporting: Monitoring project progress, producing reports, and managing material resources.

  • Technical Coordination: Interpreting drawings, specifications, and ensuring buildability.  


Required:


  •  Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

  •  Minimum2 years of experience in site engineering or project.

  •  Proficiency in CAD/technical software.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and scheduling abilities.
    management.

  • CSCS card or MHSA certifications.
