Position: Section Head – Raw Material HandlingDesignation: Assistant Manager – Deputy Manager
Function: Manufacturing – Quality Assurance
Place: Lanka, Assam
Credentials: DE – Chemical / B.Sc.– Chemistry
Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility to ensure consistent quality, traceability, and controlled handling of all incoming raw materials (Clinker, Fly Ash, Gypsum, Additives etc) in line with organization’s QMS Policy, BIS standards and sustainability objectives.
• Support HoD Quality to ensure smooth Raw Material Handling operation at the Unit
• Responsible to ensure sampling, testing, and evaluation of all incoming raw materials as per organizational SOPs.
• Proactively identify quality deviations and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper unloading, stacking, segregation, and storage of raw materials to avoid contamination and deterioration.
• Enforce FIFO discipline for clinker, gypsum, fly ash & additives.
• Monitor yard, hopper, and silo conditions from a quality perspective.
• Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams to ensure appropriate material feeding to ensure stable grinding operation with minimal quality variation
• Monitor reclaiming, feeding, and conveying systems affecting raw material consistency.
• Support internal audits & statutory inspections, especially for RM Handling area
• Responsible for accurate documentation & reporting of Raw material receipts, consumption, Test results & trend analysis
• Ensure strict adherence to organizational safety standards during unloading and handling.
• Promote dust control, spillage prevention, and waste minimization, and support initiatives related to alternative materials usage and carbon reduction
