Job Description

About us
We are ROCKWOOL — the world leader in stone wool solutions, working to enrich modern living through sustainable insulation and building products. You will join Group Sourcing & Procurement (GSP), a team of procurement professionals supporting the ROCKWOOL Group across multiple categories and regions.

Your role
As Section Manager for the Facing team you will lead a sub‑category covering items such as fleeces, paint, aluminium laminate, steel, wire mesh, netting, adhesives, fire stops, trading goods and laminating paper. In addition to managing the section, you will be directly responsible for one or more categories — owning their strategy, delivery and supplier relationships. You will optimise category strategies, secure supply and support GSP business plans.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the section to deliver contribution targets and build the sourcing pipeline.

  • Own one or more categories: develop strategy, run sourcing projects and be accountable for results.

  • Drive team discussions to identify opportunities and close gaps against targets.

  • Monitor category performance and provide regular reports on contribution and other KPIs.

  • Review category strategy and draft evolutions together with the Category Manager before Director review.

  • Lead discussions to improve contract coverage and compliance.

  • Support supplier evaluation, selection and negotiations to build long‑term partnerships.

  • Act as first point of escalation for the team and represent the Category Director in meetings when required (QBRs, inflation reviews, and stakeholder meetings).

  • Support recruitment, coaching, performance management, promotions and capability development for team members.

  • Proofread contract executive summaries before submission to the Category Director.

  • Propose category risks and mitigation strategies (market volatility, supply disruption, compliance).

  • Provide ad hoc support for troubleshooting and decision‑making related to category issues.

  • Travel
You can expect approximately 40 days of travel per year.

    Who we are looking for

  • University degree and 10–15 years’ experience in category management, procurement, supply chain or logistics.

  • Proven experience managing teams and owning categories end‑to‑end.

  • Strong business understanding and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Solid category management expertise, including contract management and negotiation.

  • Ability to structure and execute complex analyses and translate findings into practical recommendations and implementation plans.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to present clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proactive, results‑oriented mindset and ability to operate in a fast‑changing environment.

  • Comfortable working to deadlines and changing timelines.

  • Fluency in English is required.

  • Driver’s licence.

  • What we offer

  • Permanent contract after probationary period.

  • Competitive salary and development package.

  • Home office available up to 2 days per week.

  • Flexible start time between 07:00–09:00.

  • Home office subsidy.

  • Private medical care.

  • Multikafeteria MyBenefit and wellbeing programme.

  • Extra day off for volunteer activities.

  • Modern, accessible office in Poznań city centre (Nowy Rynek) with bicycle parking, showers, chill‑out rooms (games), subsidised canteen and high‑quality facilities.

  • Team building events and professional development opportunities.

  • How to apply
If you see yourself in this role, please apply with your CV in English.
