A leading Federal Government department is seeking an experienced Security Analyst to support the delivery of secure, modern mobility and ICT systems used by senior government officials. This is an exciting opportunity to work across complex security environments, contributing to critical national cyber security initiatives. The successful Security Analyst will be offered an initial 12-month engagement with 2 x 12-month extensions, based onsite in Canberra.

The successful Security Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Conducting threat-driven analysis and assessing system-specific risks across ICT environments
• Monitoring security information and events to identify, investigate and escalate incidents
• Developing and applying incident response processes, playbooks and vulnerability solutions
• Reviewing and advising on ICT security controls across network, cloud and mobility platforms

The successful Security Analyst will have experience in the following:

• Hands-on experience working in a Security Operations Centre (SOC)
• Proficiency with Splunk Enterprise Security, SaaS-based security tools or SIEM platforms
• Experience with NDR and SOAR technologies and conducting incident response
• Ability to analyse vulnerabilities, interpret threat intelligence and recommend mitigations
