Security Guard

•WASSE or Higher Qualification. • Must have a minimum of 2 years work experience in similar role. • Must be able to work shifts. • Clean criminal background. • Must be able to physically perform tasks required of the role. • Knowledge of any type of martial arts a plus. • Ability to read and write.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Security Guard shall assist the Security Manager in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by establishing and enforcing security policies and procedures. The role reports to the Security Manager.

ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENT:

Patrols industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows and gates.

Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.

Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintains security of premises.

Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.

Performs any other duties assigned.
