We are seeking associates with strong understanding of cyber security concepts and have hands on experience in customer facing cyber security engineering, operations or support roles. This role in within the Qualys Architecture Center (QAC) team, based out of Pune, India, with a core requirement to work in US shifts.

QAC is the center of excellence unit that partners with the field workforce (Technical Account Managers/TAMs and Account Directors) within the global Enterprise, Medium, and Small customer segments to achieve local and corporate growth ambitions by providing technical expertise for the Qualys Platform, including leveraging a deep understanding of Qualys technologies to propose/architect solutions based on customer requirements and business needs.

Responsibilities:

Being part of the Solution Architecture team, you will be responsible for supporting the SMB/SME portfolio (Small and Medium Business/Enterprises), predominantly in North American region, delivering Demos, Proof of Value (PoV), building lab environments, creating reusable artefacts, coordinate and deliver RFP/RFI responses, subscription health checks and supporting other technical and non-technical activities associated with Qualys products including asset and vulnerability management, patching and remediation, threat detection & response, compliance, and cloud and application security

  • Execute standardized and high-quality proof-of-concepts/proof-of-value engagements as needed to secure the technical win for strategic pursuits within assigned areas
  • Understand technical requirements and provide solutions through direct customer engagement, RFPs, and RFIs
  • Create and maintain POC/POV lab environments with standard and custom use cases delivered by Qualys products
  • Create and maintain reusable artefacts such as solution architecture documents, RFP/RFI responses, best-practices guides, how-to guides and use-case guides
  • Research on competitive product features and assist in maintaining competitive analysis
  • Uncover new use cases for the Qualys platform by identifying technical and business value gaps between the customer’s desired state versus existing capabilities and demonstrate how to fill those gaps
  • Assist in creation of onboarding playbooks and technical reference architectures to effectively deploy Qualys solutions within customer environments and address specific use cases
  • Assist in collaboration engagements with Product Management and Product Engineering teams to communicate customer pain points, feature requests, and product feedback
  • Constantly learn and stay on top of the latest developments in the Qualys portfolio and in the larger security and compliance ecosystem


    • Required skills and experience:

    We are looking for a technologist who thrives at solving complex customer challenges related to security, risk, and compliance.

  • Solid understanding and hands on experience with cyber security concepts including Infrastructure and Network security, popular public cloud infrastructure services such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, web application security (SAST and DAST), container security, API security
  • Up to 5 years of enterprise industry experience in cyber security space
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with asset management, patching, vulnerability management, policy compliance and configuration management, cloud and application security, and threat detection
  • Understanding of managing endpoints, servers, virtual infrastructure along with deployments of agents, scanners, API connectors
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as Firewalls, Switches, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, TLS, OSI, network segmentation etc.
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks and benchmarks such as OWASP, MITRE, NIST, PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001 and CIS are desirable
  • Hands on scripting experience using Python/Bash/Java/PowerShell is highly desirable
  • Experience with Qualys or other security and compliance platforms as a practitioner including implementation, engineering, support activities
  • Prior experience of personally engaging with customers to drive discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong communicator with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills (English language)
  • Possess excellent emotional intelligence, a strong sense of curiosity, an avid learner, and high accountability
  • Willingness to work in US-shifts and time zones
