Job Description for Security Specialist 

Experience: 5 years of experience managing On-premises Fortinet Firewalls and AWS Firewalls in cloud. AWS Certified, Fortinet Certified

Job Location: Bahrain

  Key Responsibilities:

• Should have deployment experience of Fortinet Firewall in on-premises Hardware, Virtual Machine and AWS environment
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewall, and other network technologies
• Experience with python scripting and Terraform for Network automation/deployment
• Design, implement and maintain network infrastructure
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Plan, design, document and implement On-premises and Cloud solutions incorporating the networking needs of the business.
• Provide support of Firewalls, WAF and load balancers on AWS or On-premises
• Covering all aspects of firewall administration such as hardware, operating system, encryption tunnels, VPN, day-to- operations of firewall rule sets
• Engineer security solutions and standards based on requirements, best practices, and technical knowledge
• Perform scopes of work as detailed in implementation plans assigned, such as, system builds, test plans, documentation, and training
• Implement and deploy data and network security projects, Change Management, ongoing maintenance activities, and network engineering support
• Configure firewall rules, IPS, routing, and VPN
• Verify and act on events aggregated from network monitoring tools and Web Application Firewall
• Create and update documentation (to include Visio diagrams) relating to all implementations.
• Design and implement monitoring solutions.
• Provide analysis of network capacity and health.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing On-premises Fortinet Firewalls and AWS Firewalls in cloud.
• AWS Certified, Fortinet Certified candidate
• Experience and working knowledge of AWS or Fortinet NGFWs, Site-to-Site VPN, DoD Networks
• Hands on experience with networking components and concepts including subnets, DMZs, routers, and firewalls
• Experience actively implementing cloud connectivity solutions using AWS Direct Connect.
• Preference for Certifications like AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Fortinet Network Certifications
• Demonstrated, hands-on, knowledge of AWS Network monitoring tools: AWS CloudTrail, CloudWatch Agent in the EC2, AWS Certificate, Amazon EC2 Dashboard
• Demonstrated, hands-on, knowledge of managing configuration and rules on a next generation firewall, such as Fortinet, in on-premises and the AWS Cloud.
• Working understanding of AWS application load balancing, network load balancing, security groups, and direct connect
• Excellent communication, verbal and organizational skills, Excellent customer service skills and focus.
