Sapio currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Security Technician to join our Perth Electronic Security Team with a position opening up in our Balcatta Branch. The Security Technician will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of service delivery to our current clients across our Government, Commercial, Education, Infrastructure verticals. The Technician will also need to ensure all work is done to the highest standard and completed in line with the contractual obligations to our clients.

What you will be doing
Staging, Installation, commissioning programming and troubleshooting working in all aspects of Electronic Security and Integration
Specific Accountabilities β Security Technician
- Technical Leadership & Expertise β Provide advanced technical support in the installation, commissioning, programming, and maintenance of electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, alarm and integrated platforms. Act as the escalation point for complex troubleshooting and ensure compliance with industry standards, legislation, and client requirements.
- Project Delivery & Quality Assurance β Lead and oversee site works to ensure security projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards. Undertake system testing, verification, and client handover while ensuring accurate documentation and as-built records are maintained.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement β Represent Sapio professionally on client sites, providing technical advice, clear communication, and practical solutions. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and scheduling to ensure seamless delivery of security solutions that meet operational and client needs.
- Mentoring & Team Development β Support and mentor junior technicians and apprentices, providing on-the-job training, guidance, and technical direction. Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the field team.

Required Certifications & Skills
- Gallagher Certified Technician
- Candidates must hold at least one relevant system certification
- Milestone Certified
- Or similar system certifications
- Strong and demonstrated knowledge in leading access control and CCTV systems
- Current WA Security Licence & Cabling Licence (open registration).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of IP networking, access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
- Minimum 5 years' industry experience in electronic security systems.
- Proven track record working with large-scale, complex security installations
