The role
A vibrant, supportive and very highly regarded special needs college in Wigan is seeking to appoint a full time SEND Teacher to deliver a post-16 curriculum to students with Autism and complex needs. Ability levels can vary considerably and a willingness to deliver more than one curriculum area is desired for the role of SEND Tutor. The college has a strong emphasis on life skills and employability as for most learners this is their last experience of education.
Requirements
The successful SEMH Teacher will have:
Experience working within a SEMH provision or with children who present social, emotional and mental health needs; experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour is essential.
