Job Description

A SEMH Teaching Assistant is required for an secondary SEMH school in Sunderland area. This is a full timeTA role delivering working with children who are excluded from mainstream school and supporting them in class. The school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers.

The ideal candidate would:

  • Have good classroom management skills

  • Have a passion for working teaching children with SEN and SEMH

  • Be able to organise themselves

  • Be able to deliver English and Maths lessons to Primary level at least
  • In addition, you must:

  • Provide two referees we can contact

  • Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one
