SEMH Support Role – Secondary Setting (Ages 11–16)

Bideford | £90–£100 per day

We are working with a specialist secondary provision in Bideford that supports young people aged 11–16 who have experienced trauma and display challenging behaviour linked to SEMH needs.

This setting provides a structured, therapeutic environment with small class sizes, high staff-to-student ratios and a strong focus on emotional regulation, relationships, and re-engagement with learning. Students often present with complex needs, so consistency, calmness and resilience are key.

The role:

Supporting students both in and out of the classroom

Helping to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using trauma-informed approaches

Building positive, trusting relationships with young people who may be disengaged from education

Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support progress and emotional wellbeing
