New Directions Education are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our pool of support staff working across a range of SEN and Resource Provisions in Leeds/Wakefield/Bradford area.

Are you passionate about helping learners with additional needs develop essential life skills? Join our team as a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

What you’ll do:

  • Support learners 1:1 and in small groups.
  • Promote independence, communication, and emotional regulation.
  • Use strategies like Makaton, PECS, and structured routines.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families.
