SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne

We are currently seeking a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to pupils who require consistent, patient, and tailored support within a structured and nurturing environment.
The role:
Supporting pupils with ASC and SLD on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of personalised learning activities
Supporting communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation
Promoting independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff
