SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Winson Green, B18 Birmingham
Pay Rate: (Apply online only)
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm

Are you experienced in supporting children with SEND and ready for a rewarding new challenge? A welcoming primary school in the Winson Green area is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis.

You'll be working closely with a small group of children with a range of needs, providing a mix of 1:1 and small group support to help them flourish.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Providing tailored 1:1 support to children with additional needs
  • Leading small group interventions within the SEND hub
  • Supporting emotional regulation, communication and social development
  • Working alongside the SENCO and class teacher to deliver individual learning plans
  • Promoting independence in a nurturing, structured environment

What We're Looking For:

  • A level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent within a related subject
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND (school or specialist setting)
  • Confident working with a range of needs, including ASD and speech/language needs
  • Calm, patient and resilient - with a genuine passion for helping children thrive
  • Relevant training or qualifications (e.g. Team Teach, PECS, Makaton) are a bonus
