Job Description
We are looking for PMLD Teacher’s or PMLD Support Professional’s to work with children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) who are currently on a waiting list for specialist’s school placement.
The purpose of this role is to ensure students remain engaged in meaningful education, learning, and communication while awaiting an appropriate school placement. Provision may take place in the home, community setting, or alternative education space.
This role would suit:
A qualified Teacher with PMLD experience
A HLTA or experienced SEN Support Staff with PMLD experience
A Support Worker with strong PMLD experience who is confident leading structured learning sessions using Makaton
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver individualised, meaningful learning activities appropriate for students with PMLD
Lead or support sessions focused on communication, sensory learning, engagement, and life skills
