Job Description:
To ensure the prototypes and samples are made as per the spec sheet provided
To ensure that the right material and reinforcements are used to achieve a desired shape
To work closely with Master and Kaarigars to correct the technical faults in the samples and prototypes
To ensure timely delivery of protos and samples for the meetings
To map the efficiency of the sampling floor and take necessary actions to improve it
To work closely with the design team to understand and implement design iterations
To work closely with the QC team to ensure that the desired quality and fuctionality is achieved
To make the sampling / prototyping packet with all the required material and spec sheet before processing it for making
To ensure that the sampling floor is well organized and presentable with easy access for patterns and other design requirements
To ensure material and trim availability in material store for the sampling and prototyping for the season
To assist in getting new materials and trims by finding new vendors - domestic and international and getting NDA and other contracts signed
Collaborate with material sourcing teams to select appropriate material (PU/Leather) and hardware components
Evaluate the quality, durability, and suitability of different materials for specific designs and applications.
To make dockets for the approved samples with necessary details required for the HO
To ensure patterns are graded and corrected for the seasonal HO meetings
Qualifications:
B. Accessories/ Diploma in leather and jewellery
6+ Years of experience
Technical Skills:
Technical knowledge of construction for bags, belts, footwear and jewellery
Excellence in Corel Draw, Illustrator, Photoshop and Rhino or any other 3-D render software
Other Skills Required:
Eye for detail
Interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to meet targets and multiple deadlines
Time management
Leadership and ownership skills
