The role

Join Auto & General’s Technology Risk team as a Senior Analyst and play a key role in strengthening how we test, monitor and uplift technology controls across the business. You’ll partner closely with risk and technology stakeholders to deliver high-quality assurance activity, provide clear insights into control effectiveness, and help shape stronger, more resilient risk practices across our insurance brands. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys deep-dive testing work, problem-solving, and translating technical findings into meaningful business outcomes.

Position Accountabilities

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver end-to-end technology control testing engagements across multiple business areas
    Support the planning and coordination of assurance activities aligned to tech assurance activities.
  • Analyse testing outcomes and provide practical recommendations to uplift control design and effectiveness with a view to better manage overall organisational risk exposures.
  • Prepare clear, insightful reporting for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Track remediation activity and support timely issue closure.
  • Proactively monitor control health and emerging risks.
  • Partner with stakeholders to provide expert guidance on control improvements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing frameworks and assurance methodology.

What experience you’ll bring

You’ll bring a strong background in technology risk, assurance or control testing, along with:

  • 3+ years’ experience in assurance, audit, risk or control testing roles within financial services or complex environments
  • Solid knowledge of IT risk concepts, control frameworks and business processes
  • Experience running control testing engagements from planning through to reporting
  • Clear communication skills and confidence presenting findings to stakeholders
  • A relevant tertiary qualification, with industry certifications highly regarded
  • Awareness of emerging risks and exposure to related assurance activities would be highly desirable
