Position Summary

:

SomaLogic is seeking a dynamic Field Application Scientist Manager to manage EMEA region Field Application Scientist and Technical Support Scientist team, and biomarker discovery platform, the SomaScan® Assay, SomaSignal™ Tests, and related pipeline products.

The Senior Application Scientist Manager will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented commercial and technical group providing installation and support for Authorized site, technical presentations, technical laboratory development activities and scientific and technical support of SomaLogic's core products. The work requires attention to detail, strong understanding of SomaLogic's core and associated technologies, and a deep understanding of client applications.

This position will report to the Director, Global Scientific Engagement.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the cross functional support team in EMEA under global scientific engagement team
  • Hire, onboard and support regional team and responsible for resource allocation and productivity of the regional team
  • Support and train external clients in using SomaLogic's core technologies and escalated cases
  • Plan and guide for effective SomaLogic commercial team members onboarding process
  • Ability to present SomaLogic technology and capabilities in large scientific meetings and conferences
  • Ability to generate training materials (PowerPoint, whitepaper, technical note, etc.) for various scientific presentations and competitor positioning
  • Deliver technology presentations to potential clients
  • Perform activities related to equipment inspection in a laboratory setting
  • Support commercial team and customers with technical knowledgebase and problem solving
  • Assess equipment and laboratory technical capabilities for technology transfer opportunities
  • Represent SomaLogic at trade shows
  • Be part of growing team for a new-to-market products
  • Answer phone calls and emails from clients
  • Troubleshoot protocols being run in client labs
  • Train sales team members on messaging, as appropriate
  • Document all technical inquiries in SomaLogic’s Salesforce system
  • Additional responsibilities as directed by the head of scientific engagement

    • Skills & Requirements

    Education and Experience:

  •  PhD degree in life sciences or biotechnology is required
  • Experience in managing teams of 5+ international members is required
  • At least 10+ years of managing international support team including FAS and TSS
  • At least 10+ years laboratory experience, including authorized site installation and managing cross functional teams
  • MS Office expertise
  • Experience in healthcare and pharmaceutical industries preferred
  • Experience training others preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM systems preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strict deadlines
  • Candidate must be in Germany
