Senior Archaeologist

Overview

Senior Archaeologist – Northern Ontario , you’ll help guide how communities grow while honouring the histories and cultural landscapes that define them. Working within our Ontario Archaeology Team , you’ll lead archaeological assessments across northern Ontario, provide expert advice to clients and project teams, and strengthen relationships with Indigenous partners. Your work will contribute to responsible development, heritage stewardship, and culturally informed project planning across the province.

Responsibilities

• Lead archaeological assessments in northern Ontario in accordance with the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism (MCM) Standards and Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists.
• Direct end‑to‑end archaeological projects—including scope development, field strategies, reporting, and regulatory submissions.
