Job Responsibilities

Are you a skilled communicator passionate about making a difference in healthcare? Join the National Neuroscience Institute (NNI) as a Senior Assistant Manager in Corporate Communications and help us share stories that matter.

About the Role

As part of our Corporate Communications team, you will be instrumental in showcasing NNI's pioneering work in neuroscience and helping people live better with neurological conditions. You will work closely with healthcare professionals and researchers to identify and craft compelling stories that highlight the impactful work being done at NNI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft press releases and pitch stories to the media, managing media requests and building strong relationships with journalists
  • Work alongside neuroscience healthcare professionals and researchers to identify newsworthy stories that demonstrate how NNI is making a real difference in patients' lives and advancing the field of neuroscience
  • Write engaging stories for the NNI website to showcase our work and achievements to a wider audience
  • Produce the monthly digital staff newsletter to keep staff informed of happenings at NNI

Job Requirements

  • At least four years of experience in communications, including proven experience working with the media
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to translate complex medical information into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Genuine passion for making a difference in healthcare
  • Proficiency in design and editing using Canva, with the ability to consider visual and infographic needs when developing media pitches
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and researchers
