Technical Project Manager - Principal

Duties of Position: (Include specific duties and responsibilities)

Summary - To plan, manage, communicate and coordinate from initial stage of project till completion. Involve in planning, organizing project kick-off meetings to discuss and coordinate with the cross functional teams for timely execution. Facilitate project team members throughout the process and ensure that the project is within the scope and budget. Collaborate with representatives of appropriate functional areas to meet project objectives. Manage project timelines and continuous follow-up to ensure timely completion of projects. To identify, Manage critical project issues and risks and escalate as necessary. Act as one point contact for project reporting and updates periodically. 

Creation of project management plan - Clearly understands the customer requirements and creates a project management plan taking into careful consideration of the estimates, work-plans and all project management related deliverable 

Monitoring and tracking projects - Monitors and tracks Cost, time sheet, team's implementation methodologies and internal project processes and suggests corrective actions where required. Familiar in Purchase Order, Invoice Booking, Shipments, Material purchases etc 

Project and technical risk management - Ensures that continuous defect analysis is being carried out and works towards risk management. Also reviews the defect correction actions which are being implemented. 

Project/ Product delivery - Works with team to ensure timely release of product/ project deliverable. 

Management/ Client status report - Sends periodic status reports/ other reports as may be called for by the client or by the manager/ seniors. To Seek & Achieve high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) on regular basis. 

Proposal preparation - Should be able to understand the customer requirements and prepare a techno commercial proposal. Should be able to review and get necessary senior management approvals 

Contribution to process improvement – Deliver high quality projects by adhering to the QMS with full Process compliance or within Org. limits. Contributes to organizational process improvements, identifies inefficient processes, if any. 

Technical communication during project execution - Ensures that the team has clearly understood what is expected from the project and also makes sure that two-way communication is constantly provided with respect to the project deliverable.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelors of Degree in Engineering (Prefer ECE, EEE & CSE) , MBA is nice to have. 

• 8 -12 years of total industry experience (in managing/leading electronic product development), with at least 5 year of experience in customer front ending role. 

• Experience in handling a projects of team between 4 -10 people. 

• Experience in handling project which involves team members from across the Globe 

• Familiarity in handling projects/product development which involves electrical, mechanical, firmware and Test Engineering Functions. 

• Familiarity in Timesheet, Risk, Change Request and Escalation Management. 

• Experience in Agile PLM and Configuration Management 

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail, ability to think strategically and logically Multi Disciplinary, Multi- Talented & Multi- Tasking 

• Should be a good Team player and ability to work with cross functional teams. Person must be having Positive Attitude 

Customer and Quality Focused. 

• Excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication. 

• Strong Technical experience with MS Office Tools
