We're seeking a Senior Associate, Regulatory Affairs to join our Corporate & Superannuation Trustee Services (CSTS) business unit. Reporting to the General Manager & Special Counsel, you'll provide expert legal and regulatory advice, manage compliance obligations, and support governance processes in a dynamic and highly regulated environment.
 
About the Role:

  • Provide legal advice on regulatory change, investigations, and governance matters.
  • Draft and review responses to regulatory notices and requests.
  • Liaise with regulators such as APRA and ASIC, and industry bodies.
  • Support litigation and other proceedings involving CSTS.
  • Work independently to solve complex legal and regulatory issues.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

What We're Looking For:

  • A strong legal background with experience in financial services or other complex, regulated environments.
  • Admission to practise law in an Australian or other common law jurisdiction (LLB or equivalent required).
  • Expertise in interpreting legislation, regulatory frameworks, and governance obligations.
  • Ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide practical, risk-aware solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including drafting high-quality reports and advice.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to work autonomously.
