About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer with over 6 years of experience in automation testing , including at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript . The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality, automation, and continuous improvement, and will play a key role in building robust test automation frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using Cypress (mandatory), and optionally Selenium or Playwright .
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure high-quality releases.
- Work primarily with JavaScript/TypeScript (mandatory), and optionally Python or Java .
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins , BitBucket , or GitHub Actions .
- Utilize AWS and Azure cloud platforms for test environments and deployment automation.
- Apply basic networking concepts to support testing of distributed systems and APIs.
- Troubleshoot test failures and maintain test stability across environments.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in automation testing.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of automation frameworks and testing best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, BitBucket, GitHub).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of basic networking concepts
- Should have experience in API Testing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Selenium or Playwright .
- Exposure to Python or Java for automation.
- Knowledge of Docker , Kubernetes , or other containerization/orchestration tools.
- Experience with performance, security, or API testing tools.
