Job Description
We are looking for a** Senior AWS Cloud Cost Optimization Engineer** with expertise in core cloud services architecture and cost mechanics.
As a Senior AWS Cloud Cost Optimization Engineer, you will increase visibility of cloud spending by developing a data-driven approach for alerting, reporting, and optimizing cloud costs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with software development and engineering teams to identify and implement cost optimization strategies
- Analyze the client’s product architecture and deployment costs
- Advise on architecture, waste management, and resource optimization in partnership with architects and engineers
- Investigate and monitor increases in cloud expenses to identify the sources
- Manage cloud reservation/savings plans and repurpose available capacity
- Examine data patterns and anomalies to derive actionable insights
- Propose savings opportunities relating to cloud commitments such as Reserved Instances and Savings Plans
