Job Description

As a Senior Back End Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services using NodeJS and TypeScript . You\'ll lead feature delivery from architecture through production, guide junior engineers, and collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to ensure performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability. Beyond coding, you\'ll influence technical direction, elevate engineering standards, and ensure backend systems continue to scale with growing demand.

The Qualifications We Seek

• 5+ years of backend software development experience, with strong, recent hands-on work in NodeJS and TypeScript
• Proven experience with Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and/or event-driven architecture
• Strong background working with AWS services and familiarity with VMs and container technologies (e.g., Docker)
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security practices, and compliance requirements
• Customer-centric mindset, with the ability to align backend solutions with user experience and business needs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to complex technical challenges
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain backend concepts and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of backend services

Your Daily Tasks

• Deliver improvements and new features from development to production, seeing real impact with end users
• Share ideas openly within the team and provide direction and mentorship to junior engineers
• Own features and drive meaningful outcomes for both customers and vendors
• Step into leadership roles, such as feature lead, or contribute deep expertise in key technical areas
• Suggest, introduce, and implement team-wide improvements
• Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery
