Senior Back-end Java Engineer

Location: Remote (Mexico)

We are looking for a Senior Back‑end Java Engineer to join Qualitest, an AI‑powered Quality Engineering Company. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high‑quality micro‑service solutions on AWS with MySQL.

• Designs and implements entire deployable stacks independently.
• Verifies functionality meets customer requirements without assistance.
• Writes effective automated unit, regression, and integration tests.
• Diagnoses root causes of complex stack problems, proposes solutions, and analyzes logs (CloudWatch, NewRelic).
• Recognizes and addresses race conditions.
• Applies SOLID principles, design patterns, and writes testable code.
• Designs algorithms that solve complex problems and meet reliability, maintainability, security, scalability, and resource‑efficiency goals.
• Learns independently using code, documentation, diagnostic tools, and experimentation.
• Provides guidance to junior and mid‑level engineers via pull requests and code reviews.
• M sustains an ownership mentality and proactive defect‑prevention mindset.
• Produces production‑level code independently.
• Nice to have: experience with AI‑indexing systems.
