Senior Backend Developer (GCP/Typescript/Node.js)

Overview

We are building a cloud-native Purchase Order Automation platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) that streamlines B2B order processing through automated email ingestion, AI-driven data transformation, and ERP integrations. We are seeking a Google Cloud Functions Developer to design and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, REST APIs, and GCP in a fully remote, contract-based setup. The ideal candidate is a backend-focused, cloud-native developer with strong API integration experience, comfortable working independently in a distributed team and motivated by solving complex automation challenges using modern cloud and AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build cloud-native services using Node.js , TypeScript , and REST APIs

• Work with GCP services : Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Scheduler, Workflows, Secret Manager

• Implement AI-powered data ingestion and transformation pipelines

• Integrate email ingestion via the Gmail API and process files (PDF, XML, CSV, Excel, Word)

• Integrate transformed data with ERP systems using XML-based APIs

• Apply best practices for logging, monitoring, security, and reliability

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform

• Solid understanding of REST API integrations

• Experience building or integrating AI-enhanced applications

• Knowledge of secure, scalable cloud development

Nice to Have

• ERP integrations (e.g., NetSuite or similar)

• Prisma ORM, PostgreSQL

• Admin or low-code dashboards

• Cloud or backend certifications
