About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend & Cloud Engineer  to maintain and scale a robust backend infrastructure built on modern Java and AWS . In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining APIs, ensuring database integrity, and managing cloud infrastructure in production environments.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable backend systems. In addition to your primary Java/AWS stack, this role offers the opportunity to cross-train in an internal NET/Azure ecosystem , supporting internal services during maintenance periods. This position is ideal for a senior engineer who values ownership, system reliability, and cloud-first architectures.

• Backend Development:  Build and maintain RESTful services using Java 21  and Spring Boot 3.3.0
• Database Management:  Manage database schema changes and migrations using Flyway
• Cloud Infrastructure:  Manage hosting and resources in AWS , including EC2/ECS  and AWS Secrets Manager
• Identity Management:  Maintain authentication flows using Auth0  and Microsoft Entra ID

• Willingness to learn and contribute to .NET Core (C#)  and Azure  environments
• Support internal services during maintenance periods as needed

• Expert:  Java 21+, Spring Boot 3+, and SQL
• Proficient:  AWS ecosystem (compute, networking, security) and Flyway
• Experience:  Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
