Job Description

Your role We are seeking an experienced Data Science Specialist to join our Data Analytics & AI team in Colombia. In this role, you will design, build, and validate datasets that power analytics, reporting, and machine learning solutions across the company.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Partnering with Data Scientists, Analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into well-structured, analytics-ready datasets
• Using SQL and Python to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, files, third-party systems) 
• Building and maintaining repeatable data preparation workflows to feed curated tables, views, and data marts 
• Implementing data quality checks and validation rules to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness 
• Supporting Analysts and business users in understanding table structures, field definitions, and best practices for querying data

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related quantitative field 
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data-focused roles with significant work building and transforming datasets 
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, aggregations, window functions, and performance-aware query design 
• Proficiency in Python for data wrangling, scripting, and automation; experience with libraries such as pandas, NumPy or equivalent 
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) 
• B2 level of English or higher required
• Experience and knowledge of datascience concepts: Machine learning algorithms, machine learning model creation, metrics evaluation, SQL queries, query optimization, and ETL creation.

Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutionsorapplications.

2. Heorshe is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance.
3. Hisorher work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.
4. The software engineer builds skills and expertise of hisorher software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities.
5. The software engineer collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.
