Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a complex digital delivery environment for an initial six month contract. This role is suited to a hands-on analyst who is confident operating at both strategic and delivery levels, working across stakeholders, delivery teams and technical specialists.

You will play a key role in analysing business needs, shaping solutions and supporting the delivery of high-quality outcomes across enterprise systems, data and digital initiatives.

We are suppliers to Commonwealth and State Government departments as well as being able to place resources into enterprise organisation’s in all industries. Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities across complex programs and projects
• Engage with senior stakeholders to elicit, analyse, validate and document business requirements
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews
• Develop high-quality artefacts including:
• Business requirements and functional specifications
• User stories and acceptance criteria
• Process models (current and future state)
• Impact assessments and traceability matrices
• Work closely with technical teams to ensure requirements are feasible, clear and testable
• Support delivery through UAT planning, defect triage, and benefits realisation
• Contribute to continuous improvement of BA practices and standards

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst on complex ICT or digital transformation initiatives
• Strong background in custom software delivery (not solely COTS implementations)
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
• Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Experience working within government or large enterprise environments is highly regarded
• Enterprise systems, data, integration, or platform modernisation programs
• Change impact analysis and business readiness activities
• Working across multi-disciplinary delivery teams
