Role Purpose

Lead end-to-end business analysis, functional process design, and documentation ownership for building/implementing an ERP platform for an IT Services company, including multi-country localizations and multi-tenant operating model requirements—starting from scratch through discovery, baseline, build support, UAT, and go-live.

Reporting & Governance

  • Reports to: Program Manager / ERP Product Owner / Head of Applications
  • Key interfaces: Finance, Delivery/PMO, Sales/Ops, Procurement, HR (if in scope), Regional country leads, Solution Architect, QA, Data/Integration
  • Accountability: Requirements baseline, RTM ownership, sign-offs, change impact analysis, UAT enablement

Senior Responsibilities (End-to-End)

1) Discovery & Requirement Engineering (Senior Ownership)

  • Drive workshops and stakeholder interviews across business units and countries.
  • Document AS-IS and design TO-BE process flows (swimlanes/BPMN).
  • Produce high-quality FRD/FRS (or user stories) with acceptance criteria and business rules.
  • Define ERP-aligned non-functional requirements (security, audit, performance, retention).

2) Build the ERP BA Documentation Pack from Scratch

Own creation, governance, and versioning of the full documentation suite:

  • Vision / Scope / Assumptions & Constraints
  • BRD (if applicable) + FRD/FRS or Story Map
  • Process maps (AS-IS / TO-BE)
  • Data dictionary + master data model inputs
  • Integration requirement specs (events, mappings, validations, error handling)
  • Reports & KPI catalog
  • Role & permission matrix (RBAC / SoD)
  • Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
  • Change request log + impact analysis
  • UAT strategy, scenarios, scripts, and sign-off pack

3) Multi-Country Localization (Country-by-Country Specs)

  • Create a Country Localization Matrix covering:
  • currency, fiscal calendars, taxation (VAT/GST/withholding), statutory reporting
  • invoice legal requirements, payment/banking formats
  • compliance, audit, retention policies where applicable
  • Produce per-country gaps and common/global baseline.

4) Multi-Tenant Model (SaaS / Shared ERP Platform)

  • Define tenant boundaries and configuration policy:
  • tenant isolation (data/security/config), provisioning flow, shared vs tenant-specific settings
  • numbering series, templates, tax rules per tenant/country
  • reporting: tenant-level + consolidated (as permitted)
  • upgrade/versioning expectations, feature flags/backward compatibility
  • Create Tenant Model & Configuration Policy documentation.

5) Delivery Support, Backlog Governance & Stakeholder Sign-offs

  • Lead backlog refinement with PO and tech teams; prioritize by business value and dependencies.
  • Ensure alignment between requirements and solution design/configuration.
  • Own sign-off workflow and baseline control to prevent scope creep.

6) Testing, UAT & Go-Live Enablement

  • Create end-to-end test scenarios mapped to RTM (SIT/UAT).
  • Manage requirement clarifications during testing and triage.
  • Support cutover readiness: migration validation, reconciliation checkpoints, training inputs, hypercare backlog.

ERP Functional Coverage (IT Services Focus)

  • Lead-to-Cash (Quote → Contract → Project → Billing → Collections)
  • Project-to-Profit (WBS/milestones, delivery, costing, margin)
  • Time & Expense (timesheets, approvals, expense policy)
  • Resource Management (allocation, utilization, capacity)
  • Billing & Revenue (multi-currency, taxation, credit notes, dunning; rev rec if applicable)
  • Finance (GL, AR/AP, intercompany, cost centers, statutory reporting)
  • Procure-to-Pay (vendor, PO, invoice matching, payments)
  • HR integration / employee master (if in scope)
