Work Hours: Full-time, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. UTC-5 (Peru/Colombia time)

Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)

About The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong data and systems understanding to join a multinational project focused on turning industrial sensor data into actionable business insights. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, systems, and operations—and who can bridge business needs with technical teams to unlock strategic value from sensor and operational data.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and document how industrial sensors generate data and how this data flows through business processes.
• Analyze APIs and underlying systems to assess data usability, gaps, and opportunities.
• Create business requirement documents, user stories, functional specs, process flows, and test cases.
• Lead requirements gathering and refinement using techniques like UML, BPMN, process mapping, and customer journeys.
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and analytics teams to design robust data-driven features and dashboards.
• Support backlog grooming and estimation in Agile teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across analysis, delivery, and business alignment.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in agile software development environments.
• Strong understanding of sensor data, IoT platforms, or manufacturing systems.
• Proven experience designing and analyzing business systems and processes in complex enterprise environments.
• Solid experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and API documentation tools.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills—both in English and Spanish (C1 or higher).
• Ability to manage cross‑functional teams across time zones.

Nice‑to‑Have

• Experience in mining, energy, or heavy industry projects.
• Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, or Power BI from a functional standpoint.
• Experience creating wireframes, UI flows, or collaborating with UX teams.
• Knowledge of data compliance and industry security standards.
