Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager – Building Materials
Location: Perth Metro, WA
Remuneration: Up to $110k + $25k bonus + 20k Car
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our building materials division. This is a generalist BDM role requiring someone who can confidently manage a mix of accounts including commercial clients, new home builders, and B2C customers across the Perth metro area.
The role will also encompass team leadership and showroom management, providing an exciting opportunity for a candidate with both sales and operational expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a diverse portfolio of clients including commercial, new home builders, stonemasons, and retail customers.
- Drive sales growth across the Perth metro region, identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing relationships.
- Lead and mentor a small team, including an Account Manager and an Account Manager/Merchandiser (recruitment for this role will also be part of your responsibilities).
- Oversee operations, including a small casual team, ensuring excellent customer experience and efficient operations.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity, providing insights to influence sales strategies.
- Achieve individual and team sales targets, while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in the building materials or construction industry.
- Strong commercial and sales acumen with a track record of achieving targets.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a small team.
- Comfortable managing multiple customer segments, including retail, trade, and commercial clients.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Highly organized and capable of balancing strategic planning with hands‑on execution.
