The context



Our client is an international company specializing in the development and manufacturing of differentiated natural ingredients.


Following significant growth in recent years, the company has expanded its presence in key European and international markets. We are currently seeking a Senior Business Development Manager M/F to cover the DACH area (Germany, Switzerland and Austria).


Directly reporting to the Group Commercial Director, you are identified as a sales hunter.


Key responsibilities


  • Design and implement the commercial strategy for the assigned markets.
  • Identify and secure new B2B business opportunities (pharmacies, distributors, retail chains, laboratories, etc.).
  • Conduct market analysis, competitive intelligence, and monitor trends and regulatory changes in the nutraceutical industry.
  • Manage and grow the current client portfolio, building long-term relationships.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, R&D, and Logistics teams to ensure a value proposition aligned with market needs.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with clients.
  • Prepare and deliver sales pitches and presentations.
  • Prospect new business areas and potential growth opportunities.
  • Provide regular reports to headquarters in Madrid on progress, sales metrics, and market insights.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (over 50% of working time).
  • Attendance at trade fairs and exhibitions.
  • About you


    You hold a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Nutrition, or Biology, and have at least 5 years of experience in similar roles and in a B2B international environment, within the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, functional food, or dietary supplements sectors.


    You are a proactive hunter, eager to travel regularly. You have a proven track record managing long sales cycles for scientifically validated products with therapeutic benefits.


    You’re known for being autonomous, analytical, and flexible, with a pragmatic mindset. Colleagues describe you as rigorous, resilient under pressure, and an excellent communicator.


    You are a native german speaker and fluent in English, essential for the international scope of the role. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
