Senior Business Development Representative - Technology Modernization Services

Role Overview:
The BDR will be responsible for building, progressing, and closing qualified pipeline for OptiSol’s legacy modernization services. This role focuses on complex, consultative sales engagements involving enterprise-scale modernization programs.

The BDR owns opportunity progression and revenue outcomes and works closely with SDRs, digital marketing, solution architects, and delivery leaders. This is an end-to-end sales role focused on converting prioritised opportunities into new client wins.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end sales execution and revenue outcomes for technology modernization services.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders from enterprises such as CIOs, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and Enterprise Architects.
  • Lead discovery and qualification discussions to understand business drivers, technical landscape, and modernization priorities.
  • Shape opportunities into assessments, phased modernization programs, or full-scale transformation engagements.
  • Collaborate with SDR and digital marketing teams to define priority accounts and guide account-based outreach strategies.
  • Work closely with solution architects and practice leaders during early deal shaping and proposal development.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility, forecasting, and opportunity tracking in CRM.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in business development, consulting sales, or solution sales within IT services or technology consulting.
  • Proven experience owning revenue targets and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology landscapes and modernization initiatives.
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with structured sales motions involving SDRs and marketing teams.
  • Prior experience working with clients in North America and/or Europe is preferred.
