Job Overview:As a Senior Captain at Lavonne, you will take a leadership role in providing exceptional service to our guests. Your experience, attention to detail, and dedication to ensuring a memorable dining experience will set the standard for our cafe's hospitality.Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service: - Greet and seat guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanour. - Present menus, including daily specials, and offer detailed descriptions and recommendations. - Take precise food and beverage orders, ensuring guests' preferences and dietary needs are met. - Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally. Table and Dining Area Management: - Supervise the setup and arrangement of tables for dining service, ensuring an elegant and inviting presentation. - Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the dining area, creating an appealing atmosphere. - Ensure efficient turnover of tables while providing guests with an unhurried dining experience. Team Leadership: - Lead and mentor junior staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback to maintain high service standards. - Delegate tasks effectively and ensure a coordinated and productive team. - Promote a positive and collaborative team environment, boosting morale and service quality. Service Flow: - Oversee the flow of service to ensure efficient and timely dining experiences for guests. - Collaborate closely with the kitchen and bar staff to guarantee the accurate and prompt delivery of orders - Manage guest reservations, waitlist, and special requests. Quality Assurance: - Monitor the dining area for guest satisfaction, promptly addressing any issues or concerns. - Ensure the presentation and condition of tableware and utensils meet the cafe's standards. - Uphold the highest levels of hygiene and sanitation, creating a clean and safe environment. Qualifications:- Proven experience as a Senior Captain or a similar leadership role in the cafe or restaurant industry.- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.- Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction.- Ability to remain composed, professional, and effective in high-pressure situations.- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards.
