Job Title: Senior Category Manager (Venue Category)


Location: Bangalore


Experience: 5-8 years in Category Management - Vendor Onboarding & Management, Owning Business Metrics, Operations and Strategic management


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Category Manager (Venue Category) to drive growth and efficiency in our category operations. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in a strategic role - building and operating categories, sales, and vendor management . This role requires a strong problem-solving mindset , the ability to conduct root cause analysis , and a data-driven approach to decision-making. The Category Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and implement effective solutions that align with company goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Build and manage collaboration with key stakeholders, sales teams, and vendors and other business partners.
  • Conduct thorough problem diagnosis and root cause analysis to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions.
  • Analyze revenue growth, customer trends, and market dynamics to make data-driven decisions.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations) to align category objectives with company level business goals.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to identify new business opportunities.
  • Drive data analysis initiatives to support strategic decision-making and improve category performance.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to track KPIs and provide actionable insights to leadership.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to build and grow category business from scratch, launch new categories, new geographical markets
  • Hands-on experience with Category management, vendor management, and business development .
  • Proficiency in data analysis and working with analytical tools (Excel, SQL, BI Tools, etc.) .
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and drive cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of market trends and competitor strategies within the industry.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in category management, sales, business strategy, vendor management .
  • MBA or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
