**Description**

Burns & McDonnell India (BMI) is seeking a driven Civil Engineer to join our Environmental (ENS) Division in support of a wide variety of US-based projects. The ENS team supports engineering design and study efforts that include solid waste and resource recovery facilities, remediation sites, stormwater management structures, water/wastewater systems, utility facilities, and other municipal, industrial, and environmental infrastructure projects.



This role will focus on civil and environmental design projects using ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, StormCAD, Engineering Calculation templates, etc. while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary US project teams. Candidates are expected to take on significant design responsibility, interact regularly with US counterparts, and serve as a technical resource and lead engineer on project teams.



**Responsibilities:**



·Perform civil and environmental design from conceptual development through detailed design and construction support, including grading, utilities, drainage, and site development.



·Develop and review design drawings such as site layouts, grading plans, excavation drawings, road plans and profiles, typical sections, cross sections, and general arrangement drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.



·Support site civil design for facilities such as solid waste infrastructure, stormwater systems, resource recovery facilities, and water/wastewater-related structures.



·Work with project teams to modify plans, designs, and production drawings in response to budget constraints, regulatory requirements, or client needs.



·Research and compile project data, perform engineering calculations, and assist in preparing technical reports, studies, and cost estimates to help clients evaluate project options.



·Lead and provide primary technical support for civil and environmental permitting efforts in coordination with US teams.



·Assist with project management tasks, including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and communication with US engineering leads.



·Lead interdisciplinary coordination and clash checks; help resolve conflicts with other engineering disciplines.



·Provide construction phase support services including preparation of construction quality assurance (CQA) documentation.



·



·Support relationship-building with US offices as part of ongoing project work.



·Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**



·Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized institution.



·Minimum 5–10 years of experience in civil design for water/wastewater or site/civil infrastructure projects.



·Working knowledge of US codes and standards.



·Proficient in Civil 3D, StormCAD, Civil Storm, ESRI ArcOnline, and Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote).



·Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem solving skills.



·Demonstrated experience working independently on complex site/civil design tasks.



·Good Communication skills in English (verbal & written).
