Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of road, highway, and active transport projects from concept to completion.

Manage project teams, coordinating engineers, drafters, and sub‑consultants to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards, regulations, and client requirements.

Collaborate with clients, contractors, and government agencies to facilitate project approvals and progress.

Provide technical advice and mentoring to junior engineers and team members.

Identify and mitigate risks related to project scope, budget, and schedule.

Contribute to business development activities including proposal preparation and client presentations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Minimum 7 years’ experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on roads, highways, and active transport infrastructure.

Proven expertise in Australian road design standards and software such as Civil 3D or similar.

Strong project management skills with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Current Australian engineering registration (e.g., Chartered Professional Engineer) preferred.

Knowledge of sustainable and innovative transport design principles.
