Progresciv is seeking a Senior Civil Designer proficient in OpenRoads to lead the design and documentation of roads, highways, and active transport projects. The role involves delivering innovative and practical design solutions that meet client and regulatory requirements, while mentoring junior staff and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead detailed civil design and drafting using OpenRoads for road and highway infrastructure projects.

Develop and maintain design documentation, drawings, and specifications in compliance with Australian standards.

Collaborate with engineers, planners, and stakeholders to deliver integrated transport and active transport solutions.

Conduct design reviews and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and constructability.

Mentor and support junior designers to enhance team capability and knowledge.

Coordinate with surveyors and geotechnical specialists to integrate data into design processes.

Manage project timelines and deliverables to meet client expectations.

Stay updated on industry best practices and software advancements related to civil design.

Requirements

Proven experience as a civil designer specialising in roads, highways, and active transport projects using OpenRoads.

Strong understanding of Australian design standards and road geometry principles.

Proficient in producing detailed design documentation and construction-ready drawings.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to knowledge sharing.

Familiarity with other civil design software such as Civil 3D or MicroStation is advantageous.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or engineering design.
