About The Role
You will be working at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, a 70‑year‑old institution known for excellent healthcare and service to the Veteran community and local residents.
The Medical Oncology Clinical Trial Manager will effectively manage the ethics and RGO submissions for clinical trials within the Medical Oncology Department. You will coordinate clinical research for single‑centre and multi‑centre studies, train study coordinators on ethico‑legal procedures, and promote the unit at state, national and international levels. Your role will foster local participation in research and contribute to evidence‑based practice across multidisciplinary fields.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑level leadership and operational oversight of clinical trials in Medical Oncology.
- Coordinate ethics and RGO submissions and manage compliance with regulatory governance.
- Train and support study coordinators and investigators in Investigator Initiated and Sponsored research.
- Promote the Medical Oncology research unit as a clinical trial site at state, national and international levels.
- Support local participation in research and the translation of evidence into practice.
Ideal Candidate
- Appropriate tertiary qualification or demonstrably relevant professional experience in the Health Service environment.
- Significant experience in clinical research and clinical trial procedures.
- Knowledge or experience of clinical trial start‑up and regulatory governance.
