Senior Litigation Attorney – Commercial Litigation
We’re a collaborative team that represents clients in a wide range of commercial transactions and litigation matters, and we’re excited to welcome an experienced litigation attorney to join us. This role offers the chance to be involved in every stage of a case—from early strategy and discovery through motion practice and trial, including serving as first chair when appropriate.
We’re looking for someone with at least ten years of law firm litigation experience who enjoys tackling commercial disputes across different industries and legal issues, with a particular focus on commercial real estate and construction-related matters. The right candidate is comfortable managing the day-to-day flow of litigation, juggling deadlines and filings, and keeping multiple matters moving forward at the same time.
What You’ll Do
Handle litigation matters from start to finish, including discovery, motion practice, and trial.
Serve as first chair at trial when appropriate.
Manage case logistics, including deadlines, filings, and multiple workstreams across active matters.
Draft motions, briefs, and written discovery, and help shape case strategy.
Work independently while also collaborating closely with teammates and clients.
What We’re Looking For
At least ten years of experience in a law firm litigation practice.
Experience handling commercial litigation matters; background in commercial real estate and construction disputes is a plus.
Strong writing and analytical skills, with experience drafting motions, briefs, and discovery.
Experience taking depositions and working on large or complex litigation matters.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—you enjoy working with people.
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Admission to and good standing with the D.C. Bar, or eligibility to waive into the D.C. Bar.
