Senior Completions Engineer

AGR are working closely with our India-based client to recruit a Senior Completions Engineer to join its team on a 28/28 day rotation for a long-term contract.

About the role:

This role will be key to plan and prepare the completion program and the supervision of the subsea well completions operations. Well intervention and re-completion planning, programming and supervision for completed wells, preparing well intervention guideline and procedures for completed wells and material planning is also part of the remit of this role.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Lead the development of the technical basis of designs and programs
• Develop well completion designs focusing on sand control techniques, wellbore hydraulics, tubular connections, and instrumentation requirements; perform risk analysis to mitigate risks
• Prepare well completion, intervention, and decommissioning programs, including cost estimates
• Lead well-related workshops (CWOP, IWOP, AWOP), peer reviews, and technical committee reviews
• Develop technical specifications for procurement packages for completion materials and services; review quotations and bid packages and provide technical recommendations for RFP award
• Consult with field operations personnel and management regarding completion design, providing guidance and technical expertise to support well operations
• Drive cost efficiencies and take accountability for tracking and reporting cost and operational performance
• Visit offshore during critical operations, including (but not limited to) gravel pack pumping, drilling reservoir sections, mud conditioning, running multiple control lines, opening subsea barrier valves, well unloading, and critical well interventions
• Visit onshore bases during yard trials of well completion-related equipment (e.g. coiled tubing, surface well tests)
• Visit contractor laboratories to witness testing of chemicals and fluids

Work Experience:

• Significant experience in operational completions/sand control environment
• Exposure in deepwater m) subsea completions including sand control with open hole gravel pack, cased hole gravel pack/Frac pack, ICD, intelligent and multi-lateral completions

Technical skills/Qualifications:

• IWCF Well control or WIPC
