We are looking for a Senior Consultant - Vendor Engineering based in Hyderabad .

Job Summary:

The Senior Vendor Engineering Analyst will be a critical technical contributor within the newly established Vendor Engineering Office (VEO), playing a pivotal role in optimizing organization's technical engagement with its third-party technology vendors. This senior-level individual contributor will leverage deep technical expertise to ensure that external technology partners consistently deliver high-quality, secure, and integrated services that align with company's architectural standards, business objectives, and strategic goals.

Working under the guidance of VEO leadership, the Senior Vendor Engineering Analyst will execute and mature VEO processes, conducting in-depth technical evaluations, driving performance optimizations, and fostering strong technical relationships with key vendors across IT, Business, Procurement, Legal, and Security functions of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and conduct technical reviews of vendor solutions, architectures and deliverable to ensure alignment with organizational standards, security and performance expectations.
• Monitor Vendor Performance on ongoing basis, tracking delivery quality, timelines, reliability and compliance with agreed technical and contractual commitments.
• Drive RCAs/RACs for vendor related issues, ensuring timely resolution and prevention of recurring problems
• Participate In Proof of Concepts with vendors to evaluate new technologies, tools, and solutions, and provide technical recommendations based on outcomes.
• Define, Document and maintain KPIs & SLAs, ensuring clear measurement of vendor performance and regular reporting to stakeholders.
• Support vendor selection and onboarding activities, including technical evaluations, RFP/RFQ responses, capability assessments, and coordination with procurement and legal teams.
• Act as a technical point of contact between internal engineering teams and vendors to ensure effective communication, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.

Skills :

• 9-12 years of progressive technical experience in complex IT environments (e.g., Technical Lead, Senior Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Program Manager, Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Senior DevOps Engineer).
• 5+ years of direct experience focused on technical vendor management, evaluating third-party technical solutions, conducting technical due diligence, or managing technical integrations with external partners.
• Demonstrated deep understanding of diverse technology domains including major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), enterprise software integration, data analytics platforms, cybersecurity frameworks, and modern integration patterns (APIs, microservices).
• Experience in the healthcare industry or other highly regulated environments is a significant plus.
• Deep Technical Expertise: Varies by focus area (e.g., Cloud Infrastructure, Network, Software Development, Data Platforms). Needs to be able to \"speak the language\" of vendor engineers.
• Architectural Understanding: Ability to assess solution design, scalability, resilience.
• Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Experience with APM, logging, observability tools.
• Security Fundamentals: Understanding of secure coding, network security, data protection.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Root cause analysis, data-driven decision making.
• Communication & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendor teams.
• Contractual Awareness: Understanding of SLAs and technical terms.
