Job Description
The Senior Content Specialist will create high-impact, technically accurate content that advances AMETEK’s thought leadership and demand generation goals, while responsibly leveraging AI to accelerate research, ideation, drafting, and optimization workflows.
Principal Accountabilities:
Own the content strategy for priority product lines and applications across the assigned businesses; build topic clusters and editorial calendars tied to business goals and audience needs.Research, write, and edit long- and short-form assets (white papers, application notes, case studies, solution briefs, blogs, web pages, emails, ad copy, social posts, scripts. Write in formats that match current customers evolving consumption patterns (bullets, call-outs, scannable highlights) while demonstrating differentiated value propositions and expertise.Use of story-telling as a way to explain complex concepts quickly and in a relatable manner.Leverage AI in the content lifecycle applying strong prompt design and human-in-the-loop editorial standards; ensure alignment with AMETEK’s responsible AI use guidelines.Partner with SMEs to capture domain expertise through interviews; convert technical detail into accessible value stories and proof points.Understand and write to specific personas within the business. Partner in creation or updating of personas as needed.Plan and repurpose cornerstone assets into multi-format campaigns (e.g., white paper → application note → case study → webinar → social/email/ad variants). Align all content with CTAs to progress customer through funnel / journey.Maintain editorial standards and ensure brand consistency across digital properties.Manage workflows with clear briefs, timelines, review loops, and version control; coordinate with regional and BU marketing teams for localization when required.Analyse content performance, modify types of content recommended based on trends. Utilize test-and-learn methodologies when trying new content formats.Other duties as assigned. Key Success Factors:

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Must-have:
5–10 years B2B technical writing experience in scientific instrumentation, industrial analytics, or materials characterization.Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes and application narratives.Hands-on with generative AI for content (prompt design, fact-checking, bias checks, source attribution, SEO optimization); strong editorial judgment.Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading; audience-centric storytellingWorking knowledge of SEO, content analytics, and CMS workflowsStrong stakeholder management: interviewing SMEs, aligning on briefs, managing reviews, and presenting rationale. Nice-to-have:
Experience marketing industrial instrumentation.Bachelor’s/Master’s in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Technical Communication, or related field.
